So everyone has told you how great WordPress is and how it currently powers around 20% of the entire internet. Well, you’ve heard right. We’re big fans of WordPress and that’s why we power all of our web design projects with WordPress as the content management system. But sometimes “WordPress” means something different to two different people.
You see, there’s WordPress.com, which is a great place to setup a personal blog or to even setup a premium blog. WordPress.com does come with many limitations, such as the inability to use custom themes and plugns.
Then you have WordPress.org, which is really just the place where you download the WordPress software which is then hosted on your own server and has virtually unlimited possibilities for building a great website. We believe that your own hosted website or blog is a better route for many reasons. However, if you just want a simple personal blog, WordPress.com might give you everything you need.
